AhlulBayt News Agency: The secretary general of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement was introduced as the “Mahdi Yavar (helper of Imam Mahdi) of the Year”.
The announcement was made on the eve of the Mid-Shaaban Eid, which marks the birth anniversary of Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent).
Sheikh Qassem was selected as the Mahdi Yavar of the Year by the Jamkaran Holy Mosque due to his outstanding activities in the field of promoting the Mahdism discourse and standing on the path of resistance.
This selection was made in recognition of his continuous efforts in supporting the oppressed and confronting arrogant currents, as well as strengthening the righteous front.
The Jamkaran Mosque’s Mahdi Yavar of the Year introduction ceremony is held with the aim of honoring active figures on the path of reviving the Mahdism discourse and the culture of awaiting the Savior.
In this ceremony, the role of influential individuals in developing the culture of awaiting the Savior is appreciated.
In recent years, several prominent figures in the Islamic world have been chosen as Mahdi Yavar, including Martyr Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, General Hajj Qassem Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, Veteran General Ali Fazli, and Hojat-ol-Islam Hashem al-Haydari.
The Mid-Shaaban Eid, marking the birth anniversary of Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent), falls on the 15th day of the lunar Hijri month of Shaaban.
Shia Muslims all over the world celebrated the auspicious occasion on Wednesday, February 4, this year.
