AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, one of Bahrain's scholars, in a statement issued on Friday, November 6, 2026, while warning the government about the consequences of continuing the trial of Bahrain's scholars, considered responsibility for their health to lie with the entire Bahraini nation.
The Mir'at al-Bahrain news outlet reported that Ayatollah Qassim in this statement condemned the trial of Bahrain's scholars, which is scheduled to be held on November 8, and called it an unjust trial formed on the basis of conspiratorial and fabricated accusations.
He emphasized that standing alongside the scholars is obligatory upon all the children of the Bahraini nation, and the scholars, who have always stood alongside the people and defended their rights, dignity, and freedom, today deserve a popular and loyal stance equal to their role and sacrifices.
Ayatollah Qassim noted that the scholars targeted for trial, especially Sheikh Mohammed Sanqour, Sheikh Ali Al-Saddadi, and Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Aali, are among the prominent scholarly elites and, alongside a number of other scholars and seminary students, play a fundamental role in preserving the religion, serving society, and defending the political and civil rights of citizens.
He emphasized that the government faces a clear test on November 8: either it must turn to justice, observe fairness toward the scholars, and recognize their national and social role, or it must continue its deviant course from justice and accept the consequences of oppression and the violation of the scholars' dignity and health.
Ayatollah Qassim, in a direct message to the people of Bahrain, asked them to take on the full responsibility of defending the scholars and to continue the serious pursuit of their health, dignity, and status without stopping or slacking and by using all available religious and rational methods.
At the same time, he emphasized that calm and peacefulness must be maintained; the same path that the popular movement has taken from the beginning and is still emphasized.
Ayatollah Qassim, at the end of his statement, emphasized that the scholars have been loyal to the people, and the people must also remain loyal to them and must not leave them alone before the trial and its possible consequences.
