AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has met and held talks with Vice President of Lebanon’s Supreme Islamic Shia Council.
Araghchi, who arrived in Beirut on Thursday morning, began his first official program by visiting Sheikh Ali al-Khatib.
Upon his arrival, Araghchi told reporters that the main purpose of his visit to Beirut was to hold close consultations with senior Lebanese officials about the current developments in the region.
Saying that the region is currently facing serious challenges and threats, he emphasized that these threats are particularly linked to the Israeli regime and are unprecedented in scale and intensity.
