8th of Shawwal 1926 is darkest day in Islamic history – Pakistani Cleric

Allama Maqsood Ali Domki, Central Secretary of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, said that on the anniversary of the demolition of Jannat-ul-Baqi, 8th Shawwal 1344 Hijri, King Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia destroyed the sacred shrines in Jannat-ul-Baqi.

AhlulBayt News Agency: These included the graves of Hazrat Bibi Fatima Zahra (SA), Imam Hasan Mujtaba (AS), Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS), Imam Muhammad Baqir (AS), Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS), and several companions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

He said that just as Banu Umayyah and Banu Abbas martyred the family of the Prophet, Al-e-Saud disrespected their graves and demolished their shrines. It has been almost 100 years, yet Al- Saud has not permitted their reconstruction. Through this despicable act, Al- Saud has caused grief to millions of Muslims around the world.

He further stated that Al-e-Saud has insulted the symbols of Allah and promoted indecency and immorality on the sacred land of revelation. They have trampled on hijab and Islamic values. By becoming subservient to the US and Israel, they bombed the Muslims of Yemen and betrayed Palestine and Masjid Al-Aqsa, the first Qibla.

Allama Domki emphasized that millions of Shia and Sunni Muslims across the world have a long-standing demand that Jannat-ul-Baqi and Jannat-ul-Mualla should be rebuilt with dignity and respect.
