AhlulBayt News Agency: Like other parts of the country, "Jannat al-Baqi demolition day" was observed in Lahore with great reverence and respect. A protest rally was taken out from Karbala Gamay Shah, in which leaders from Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Shia Ulema Council, Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh Jafariya, Tehreek-e-Hussainia Pakistan, and other religious organizations participated. All leaders strongly condemned the tragic and disgraceful act committed by the Al-Saud.

Leading the rally were prominent scholars and leaders including:

Participants of the rally raised powerful chants of “Labbaik Ya Zahra (s.a)!”

The protesters demanded the Saudi government to immediately reconstruct the sacred shrines of Lady Fatima Zahra (s.a), the daughter of the Prophet (PBUH), and other Imams whose graves were destroyed. They said that if the Saudi government does not take action, then Muslims should be allowed to rebuild the shrines themselves.

They expressed deep sorrow that while the Prophet’s (PBUH) daughter’s grave lies in ruins, the palaces of the Saudi rulers are lit with grandeur and luxury.
The speakers demanded that the Saudi government must issue a clear policy regarding the reconstruction of Jannat al-Baqi.

The protest leaders also urged the Pakistani government to raise this issue with Saudi authorities and play an active role in the reconstruction of Lady Fatima Zahra’s (s.a) shrine.

In addition, the rally participants strongly condemned Israeli aggression on Palestine and Gaza and demanded that Israel immediately cease its attacks.

The leaders said that the silence of the Muslim Ummah on the issue of Palestine is disappointing and condemnable.
