AhlulBayt News Agency: Hujjat al-Islam Syed Shafqat Shirazi, the Foreign Secretary of the Pakistan Muslim Unity Assembly, in a statement, has strongly condemned the recent crime in Nigeria on International Quds Day and called on the international community not to remain silent in the face of blatant human rights violations.
During the International Quds Day demonstration held in Nigeria on March 30, 2025, the country's military forces shot directly at the protesting people, killing 10 people and injuring or arresting dozens of others. So far, no information has been released about the status of the detainees, and international media has not reacted to this bloody event.
In response to this incident, Hujjat al-Islam Shafqat Shirazi has strongly criticized the silence of human rights organizations and international media, saying, "Like every year, this year too, people peacefully demonstrated in support of the Palestinian people to condemn the Zionist regime's attacks on Gaza, but they were met with violence by the Nigerian army."
He added, "This military action is not only illegal, but also cruel and inhumane. It is the duty of all Muslims in the world not to remain silent in the face of this blatant cruelty, to speak out, and to bring the truth to the ears of the world."
