AhlulBayt News Agency: He said that the deliberate silence of the Islamic world over the situation in Jerusalem and Gaza is a tragic reality. Gaza is witnessing severe bloodshed, and international institutions including the United Nations are displaying helplessness and apathy.
Liaqat Baloch said that Jamaat-e-Islami will launch a nationwide campaign in solidarity with the Palestinian people. He described Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as a destroyer of global peace.
He further said that the role of the Muslim Ummah is deeply disappointing. The oppressed Muslims of Gaza, having lost hope in the Ummah, are now turning only to Allah – a truly heartbreaking situation.
Liaqat Baloch added that the cry of the oppressed shakes the heavens. If Allah becomes angry over our indifference, then we too will not be spared.
He urged the Government of Pakistan to raise its voice for the victims of Gaza at the United Nations and other international platforms, and to unite the Muslim Ummah to formulate a concrete plan through the OIC.
