AhlulBayt News Agency: The fourteenth weekly Quran Interpretation session of Egypt’s Al-Azhar Mosque will be held with the theme ‘Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Quran’.
Former Al-Azhar Islamic University president Ibrahim al-Hudhud and former dean of Cairo University’s Arabic Language Faculty will discuss the theme of the event.
Abdulmunim Fouad, the curator of scientific activities at Al-Azhar Mosque, said this meeting is an important opportunity to reflect on the verses of the Quran and its meanings, and opens new doors to research on the miracles of the Quran.
He added that the session will be effective in strengthening the religious and cultural awareness of the participants with the focus on Al-Aqsa Mosque and invites deep reflection on religious texts.
In the same vein, Hani Awda, Director General of Al-Azhar Mosque, expressed his happiness at organizing the meeting, stressing the importance of the miracle of the Quran in shaping the identity of the Islamic Ummah.
He said Al-Azhar Mosque has always strived to increase knowledge in the society with the aim of fostering informed and enlightened societies, and holding Quran interpretation sessions in the mosque is a new step towards achieving this goal.
These sessions are held in rounds on Sundays every week, and a group of scholars and expert professors give lectures, he stated.
He also noted that during these sessions, there will is time for open questions and discussions among the participants, which is an opportunity for interaction and exchange of views on various issues.
