AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Attorney General of Iran, accompanied by the Head and several senior officials of the Special Courts for Clergy in Qom, met with Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Javad Fael Lankarani.
During the meeting, Montazeri expressed appreciation for the Ayatollah’s timely and insightful statements on diverse religious and political occasions, particularly his firm responses to the brutal attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader and innocent schoolchildren in Minab, as well as senior military and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commanders. He also commended the Ayatollah’s reasoned and well-grounded statements in rejecting the joint declaration of Egypt’s Al-Azhar Society.
Montazeri described these precise and scholarly positions as a source of great morale for the people and officials of the Islamic system, highlighting the enduring significance of the Shia marja’iyya, the seminaries, and the esteemed scholars who remain consistently present on the national and global stage.
In response, Grand Ayatollah Fazel emphasized his gratitude and warm welcome to Hojjat al-Islam Montazeri and his delegation. He stated that first, the efforts of the country’s officials and the sacrifices made by military and security forces are incomparable to the modest role of religious scholars. Second, the primary role in achieving these glorious victories against the arrogant global powers belongs to the noble, discerning, and ever-present Iranian people.
