AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, in a statement called for national unity against the Israeli-American enemy under a shared framework at this stage, halting aggression to liberate land and people, and stressed that all other issues can be discussed only after this primary goal is achieved.
He emphasized, “National unity frustrates our enemy’s attempts to occupy our country and enables us to overcome this painful phase together, through solidarity and cooperation, something that strengthens our nation and builds it side by side.”
Sheikh Naim Qassem pointed out that it is no longer hidden to anyone that a dangerous U.S.-Israeli project known as “Greater Israel” exists, one built upon occupation and expansion from the Nile to the Euphrates, including Lebanon. The U.S.-Israeli aggression against Lebanon, which began on November 27, 2024, has not ceased. The Israeli enemy has not adhered to any agreement and has continued its aggression without interruption for fifteen consecutive months.
He stated, “We now face two clear choices: either surrender, abandoning our land, dignity, sovereignty, and the future of our generations, or a definitive confrontation and resistance against occupation to prevent the realization of their goals.”
Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed, “This resistance is invincible. Our people and honorable citizens stand firmly with it. We are calm and certain, we will not be defeated, even if great sacrifices are required.”
The Hezbollah leader described the U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran as a lesson for reflection, stating, “Iran has stood firm against global oppressors, criminals, and barbarians, and God willing, will emerge victorious. Know this: every victory over America and Israel brings benefit to all.”
