Toronto police seek suspects in anti-Muslim vandalism case

Toronto police are investigating an incident in which a parked vehicle was vandalized with anti-Muslim slurs. Surveillance footage captured two suspects, one carrying a sledgehammer. Authorities are seeking public help to identify the individuals responsible.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Toronto police are searching for two male suspects in connection with a vandalism incident last month, where a vehicle was extensively damaged and marked with anti-Muslim slurs.

According to police reports, the incident occurred around 3:35 a.m. on April 26 in the area of Steeles Avenue West and Martin Grove Road.

Officers responded to a call regarding property damage and found a parked vehicle that had been severely defaced. Authorities confirmed that the vehicle was painted over and etched with slurs targeting the Muslim community.

Surveillance footage from a camera installed on the vehicle captured two male individuals at the scene. One of the suspects was described as wearing a baseball cap, a surgical mask, and dark clothing. The second suspect reportedly had a moustache, wore sunglasses, and had on a red or orange jacket.

Police stated that one of the suspects was carrying a sledgehammer during the vandalism.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and investigators are urging the public to provide any information that could help identify the suspects.

Concerns over hate-motivated crimes in Canada have increased in recent months, particularly after the outbreak of the war between the Israeli regime and Hamas in Gaza.
