AhlulBayt News Agency: The armed wing of Hamas, Izz al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, has issued a warning about the safety of Israeli prisoner Matan Zangauker, who is being held in a besieged location in Gaza.
According to IRNA, in a statement on Saturday, Abu Obaida, the group’s spokesperson, declared that Israeli forces have encircled the area where Zangauker is being held. He cautioned that any attempt to retrieve the prisoner alive would fail, attributing the situation to Israeli military actions.
“Hamas has preserved Zangauker’s life for over a year and eight months. The enemy will not be able to recover him alive,” Abu Obaida stated.
The announcement comes as Israeli forces continue operations across Gaza, intensifying regional tensions. The Al-Qassam Brigades concluded their statement with the phrase, “He who warns is excused,” implying that they have fulfilled their responsibility by alerting the Israeli side to the risks involved.
The situation adds another layer to the growing volatility in Gaza, as both sides remain locked in military engagements.
