AhlulBayt News Agency: Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, commander-in-chief of Iran’s Army, has declared that Israel poses no real threat to Iran, asserting that the country is fully prepared to respond decisively to any aggression.
According to IRNA, speaking in Tehran on Monday during the unveiling ceremony of the Army’s Encyclopedia of the Sacred Defense, Mousavi emphasized Iran’s military strength and resilience. The eight-volume encyclopedia documents Iran’s defense during the eight-year war with the toppled Iraqi Baath regime in the 1980s.
“Israel is far too weak to undermine Iran’s greatness,” Mousavi stated, highlighting Iran’s ability to create significant challenges for the regime and its backers.
“If they seek another True Promise operation, we are fully prepared to deliver an appropriate response,” he warned, referring to Iran’s military operations against Israel in April and October last year, carried out in retaliation to Israeli hostilities.
The remarks followed recent rhetoric from Israeli officials regarding possible strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, a scenario Tehran has vowed to counter aggressively.
Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, deputy commander of the Iranian Armed Forces for coordination affairs, echoed Mousavi’s stance while addressing a ceremony honoring Sacred Defense martyrs in Qom.
Sayyari reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to confront any adversary, stating that past attempts to weaken Iran—such as the 1980s war—ended in failure. “Today, as always, we stand ready to face any threat with the unwavering support of our people,” he declared.
Iran’s military leadership remains firm in its commitment to national defense, warning that any hostile action will be met with a severe response.
