AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Sabah al-Nu'man, spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, announced today, Wednesday, in a statement, “Despite all the political and field efforts by Iraq to keep the country away from the ongoing conflicts in the region, and alongside the government’s continuous actions in the realm of diplomatic communications to establish a ceasefire, restore security and stability, and ensure freedom of trade, movement, and economic exchange at the regional and international levels, condemned attacks against Iraqi military forces continue.”
According to a statement from the Iraqi Prime Minister's Office published on its official pages, he stated, “In the latest incident, this morning an aggressive attack targeted the Al-Habbaniyah Military Medical Center, affiliated with the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, a criminal act that resulted in the deaths of a number of Iraqi army soldiers and the injury of several others.”
Al-Nu’man added that the Iraqi government and its armed forces have affirmed that, based on the provisions of the United Nations Charter, they reserve the right to respond using all available means and will not remain silent in the face of the shedding of their martyrs’ blood.
Sabah al-Nu’man announced that a documented complaint, complete with evidence and details, will be submitted to the United Nations Security Council and other international bodies to affirm the rights of the country and its people against these violations.
