Emphasis on Condemnation of American-Zionist Aggression and the Shared Responsibility of Political Parties for Peace

The Secretary-General of the Islamic Motalefeh Party, in a letter addressed to influential European political parties, condemned the recent military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iranian territory and emphasized the role of political parties in upholding international principles.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Secretary-General of the Islamic Motalefeh Party, in a letter addressed to influential European political parties, condemned the recent military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iranian territory and emphasized the role of political parties in upholding international principles.

In this letter, Mohammad Ali Amani, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Motalefeh Party, while expressing deep concern over regional developments, stated, “Unfortunately, in recent days, we have witnessed an overt military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iranian territory – an aggression that occurred while diplomatic negotiations were underway between Iran and Western parties.”

In the letter, the Islamic Motalefeh Party, referencing the statements of Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, described this action as “a betrayal of diplomacy” and asserted that bombing the negotiating table out of spite is the result of an approach that treats complex negotiations like a real estate transaction.

Another section of the letter referred to the horrific atrocity of the airstrike on a school in the city of Minab, which resulted in the martyrdom of 170 innocent children, and emphasized that these attacks violate not only human conscience but also all norms of international law and the ethics of warfare.

The Islamic Motalefeh Party called upon these eighty influential European political parties to:

1. Issue a clear statement condemning the aggression against Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

2. Urge European governments to take an active stance against this unlawful action and refrain from aligning with Donald Trump's provocative pressures to participate in the aggression.

3. Emphasize the illegality and unjustifiability of the attack, based on the confirmation by U.S. intelligence agencies that there was no imminent threat from Iran.

4. Fulfill their responsibility in response to the media's silence regarding atrocities such as the attack on the Minab school.

5. Affirm Iran’s legitimate right to self-defense and support the creation of a fair atmosphere in the diplomatic and media arenas.

In conclusion, the Secretary-General of the Motalefeh Party, referencing the emphasis of Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs that "freedom of navigation does not exist without freedom of trade" and that as long as aggression continues, “no security can be achieved in the Strait of Hormuz,” expressed hope that this letter would mark the beginning of dialogue and effective cooperation between Islamic parties in Iran and European parties toward the realization of just peace and the confrontation of violence and aggression.
