AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi, Central Vice President of the Shia Ulema Council Pakistan and the Milli Yakjehti Council, delivered an important lecture at Al-Mustafa international university in Mashhad, Iran, during a special session with researchers on global issues.
The theme of his lecture focused on the impact of the Islamic Revolution. In his address, he stated that the Islamic Revolution of Iran infused a new spirit of unity and awakening among Muslims across the world.
He paid rich tribute to the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Ruhollah Khomeini (RA), and the Supreme Leader, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, for their tireless efforts toward unity and solidarity within the Muslim Ummah.
He said that by standing firmly against global imperialist powers and enemies of Islam, the Islamic Revolution gave courage and confidence to oppressed nations, thereby strengthening Muslims and other oppressed communities around the world.
Referring to the impact of the Islamic Revolution in Pakistan, Allama Arif Wahidi stated that while advancing the goal of unity of the Ummah, leading scholars and respected religious leaders from all schools of thought in Pakistan worked with full dedication to promote peace and unity and to eliminate sectarianism, extremism, takfir, and terrorism. He noted that the spirit of Islamic unity played a central role in the formation of movements such as the Milli Yakjehti Council and the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal.
He further said that certain takfiri elements attempted to conspire by associating the Islamic Revolution with a particular sect; however, the practical support extended to Palestine, Kashmir, and other oppressed Muslims across the world proved that it is not confined to any one sect, but rather represents a global Islamic revolution.
During his address, Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi described the American-Israeli attacks on Iran and the unrest within Iran as conspiracies of the enemy. He expressed gratitude to Allah Almighty that Pakistan and Iran stood firm as two brotherly and friendly nations, and emphasized the need to further strengthen this friendship, especially between these two brotherly Muslim countries.
He expressed condolences to the families of those martyred in the tragic incident at Masjid Khadijah al-Kubra in Islamabad, stating that the entire Ummah stands united against terrorism, takfir, and sectarianism, and that, God willing, these conspiracies will be defeated through collective struggle.
He praised the role of religious scholars and spiritual leaders and also commended the efforts of the National Paigham-e-Aman Committee.
He said that no matter how large the conspiracies to spread sectarianism in Pakistan may be, they will be countered with even greater resolve through platforms such as the Milli Yakjehti Council, the National Rahmat-ul-lil-Alameen Authority, the Council of Islamic Ideology, the National Ulema and Mashayikh Council, and other forums by practically promoting the message of peace, unity, and harmony.
He reaffirmed his commitment that all stakeholders will continue their collective struggle to make Pakistan a cradle of peace and to convey the message of unity of the Ummah to the entire world. At the end of the session, Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi also responded to questions from the audience.
