AhlulBayt News Agency: Shia and Sunni scholars of northern Afghanistan described Iran as a defender of Islam and a strong bulwark against global arrogance, stating that defending this Islamic country and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is an obligation upon every Muslim.
A number of Shia and Sunni scholars from northern Afghanistan participated in a ceremony titled “Declaration of Support and Solidarity of Afghan Scholars with the Supreme Leader and the People of Iran in Condemnation of the Riots and Terrorist Acts of the Zionist–American Regime.”
During the event, they described Iran as a defender of Islam and a firm barrier against global arrogance, emphasizing that defending this Islamic country is a duty for all Muslims.
According to the Afghan Voice News Agency, Hojjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Hussain Ali Bayani, Head of the Shia Scholars Council of Balkh Province, condemned the actions imposed by the United States and Israel against Iran, stating:
“Media outlets that lack human and Islamic values, with the full support of the United States and Israel, operate against Muslim nations—especially the Iranian people—and seek to dominate global public opinion through rumors and lies. People should not be deceived by these media outlets.”
He further stated that Muslim nations are brothers to one another, and that the Muslim people of Afghanistan support other Muslim nations—especially His Eminence Ayatollah Khamenei, as the source of emulation for Shia worldwide—and the people of Iran, while condemning the conspiracies of the United States and Israel against this country.
The Head of the Shia Scholars Council of Balkh Province also referred to Israel’s crimes against humanity in Gaza, saying that the United Nations and other human rights organizations have remained silent regarding Gaza while taking positions against the legitimate actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Molvi Zabihullah Haqjo, a member of the Islamic Brotherhood Council of Balkh Province, also emphasized unity among followers of different Islamic schools of thought. He said that divisive language among Muslims is, in reality, the language of the enemies of Islam, and that all Muslims, according to God’s command, must hold fast to the Quran and the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He stated that the Holy Quran identifies Jews as the most dangerous enemies of Islam and Muslims, and therefore Muslims should not assume that Jews are only enemies of Iran, but rather that they are hostile to Islam itself.
This Sunni scholar stressed that sowing discord among Muslims is a tactic and conspiracy of the enemies of Islam, and that mutual support between Arabs and non-Arabs, and between Shia and Sunnis, is today a serious and religious necessity.
Molvi Haqjo added that the creation of crises in Iran stems from hostility toward Islam, and that the conflict between Iran and the United States is a battle between truth and falsehood. He stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a major obstacle preventing the enemies of Islam from suppressing Muslims.
He further asserted that Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of Iran, during the 12-day war with Israel, the United States, and their allies, proved himself to be a true follower of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), placing them under such pressure that they were forced to seek peace.
Referring to the “Great Satan,” the United States, as a force seeking to create division among Muslims, he added:
“We Afghans declare that we stand alongside our Iranian brothers, and with Muslim unity, Islam will certainly prevail.”
During the same ceremony, Hojjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Ghulam Mohammad Nazari, Deputy Head of the Shia Scholars Council of Sar-e-Pol Province, stated that Afghans express sympathy with the great nation of Iran and condemn the crimes of the corrupt, irrational, and bullying Trump and the leaders of Israel against Iran.
This Shia scholar added that all Muslims must recognize that Trump is the greatest enemy of Islam in the present era, and that expecting cooperation from Islamic governments with such a person is an illusion. He said Trump has repeatedly proven himself to be a liar and morally corrupt.
He acknowledged that recent wars waged by Israel and the United States against Islamic countries demonstrate their intent to weaken Islam and kill Muslims, adding that, praise be to God, the day of awakening for the followers of Islam has arrived.
Engineer Mehrab-ud-Din Joya, Deputy of the Martyr Abdul Qadir Tawana Scientific and Cultural Center in Afghanistan and another speaker at the event, emphasized that Muslims must work toward strengthening unity and solidarity based on shared foundations such as God, the Quran, the Prophet (PBUH), the angels, and other common beliefs, because Islamic principles are more important than secondary differences.
He noted that the cause of the current crises and problems in Islamic societies is the presence of mercenary rulers, adding that Imam Khamenei is a sincere Muslim and a person deeply devoted to God. For this reason, the United States and other “devils” seek to destroy him and Iran but, praise be to God, they have failed so far and will continue to fail.
The speakers at the ceremony prayed for the health of the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and stated that the dignity of Iran is, in fact, the dignity of Islam, and that neither wretched traitors nor blind-hearted enemies of Islam will ever triumph over Islamic Iran.
Meanwhile, Hamidreza Ahmadi, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, welcomed and appreciated the actions of the scholars from northern Afghan provinces. He stated that the United States and Israel turned the legitimate protests of the Iranian people into violent unrest through their infiltrators, resulting in the killing of thousands of innocent children, women, and men, and the burning of thousands of mosques, ambulances, buses, private vehicles, residential homes, public facilities, and even churches.
He added that the people of northern Afghanistan truly demonstrated strong solidarity with the Iranian nation by organizing gatherings, making phone calls, and sending messages expressing sympathy and support.
