AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, said in an interview with the Pashto service of Voice of Iran (Radio Pashto Tehran) that if the United States attacks Iran and Tehran requests help, the people of Afghanistan are ready to show sympathy and cooperate with Iran within their ability. He also stressed that Iran would be victorious even in the event of an attack.
In the interview, Mujahid spoke about the rising tensions between the United States and the Iran.
When asked which side they would support in a possible war between Iran and the United States, he said that the Islamic Emirate and the people of Afghanistan do not support war or conflict and hope that no war takes place between the two countries.
However, he added that if the United States were to attack Iran and Tehran asked for assistance, “the people of Afghanistan are ready to sympathize and cooperate with the people of Iran within their means.”
Mujahid also claimed that Iran was victorious in the recent 12-day war with Israel (and related tensions involving the United States). He said that since Iran has the capability, is in the right, and has the right to defend itself, it would win again if the United States launched an attack.
