AhlulBayt News Agency: Six hundred Sunni scholars have issued a statement expressing strong support for the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, condemning threats made against him and reaffirming their commitment to defending his dignity.
According to Mehr, in their statement, the scholars said they are thankful for the presence of a leader whom they described as belonging not only to Iran but to all Muslims and free people around the world. They stressed that safeguarding his health and dignity is a religious and collective duty, noting that his stature represents the dignity of Islam itself.
The Sunni clerics, who are from Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, strongly denounced what they described as threatening statements and hostile positions by a “criminal gang” targeting the Supreme Leader. They warned that any attempt to harm him—or even to advocate such an act—would be met with a firm and crushing response from the Islamic nation.
The statement came amid reactions to threats reportedly made by the United States against Ayatollah Khamenei. In this context, Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem earlier underscored the central role of the Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist (Velayat-e Faqih), currently embodied by Ayatollah Khamenei, in guiding and leading the resistance.
Qassem described this leadership as a source of direction and clarity, saying it represents the path of truth for the resistance front.
