AhlulBayt News Agency: The Academic Assembly Afghanistan has issued a statement declaring its support for the religious authority and political leadership of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, and condemning the law-breaking actions of the President of the United States of America.

The Academic Assembly Afghanistan guided by a firm belief in its religious, academic, and ethical responsibilities, considers it its duty, in light of the complex and sensitive regional and international developments, to adopt a principled and clear position in support of justice, freedom, and human dignity.
1. Support for the Religious Authority and Political Leadership of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei.
His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, the source of emulation for Shia and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, represents not only religious authority but also political leadership within the Islamic world. He stands as a symbol and embodiment of religious rationality, political independence, and resistance against global domination. His religious authority, rooted in solid jurisprudential foundations, justice-centered principles, and the defense of human rights, is based on respect for human dignity and the safeguarding of the rights of nations.
The wise Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, by emphasizing the fundamental principles of Islamic political jurisprudence—such as the principle of Nafy-e Sabil (“And Allah will never grant the disbelievers authority over the believers”) and the doctrine of preserving the Islamic system has consistently called upon Muslim nations to resist global hegemonic ambitions and the imposition of foreign will. These wise positions reflect his guiding role in leading the Islamic Ummah toward independence and dignity.
2. Condemnation of the Law-Breaking Actions of the President of the United States of America
The Academic Assembly Afghanistan, as a representative of the scholarly community of Afghanistan, strongly condemns the law-breaking and norm-violating behavior of the President of the United States of America. The positions and actions of the U.S. President based on threats, unilateral sanctions, interference in the internal affairs of independent states, and the blatant violation of the rights of nations are not only contrary to the principles of international law, but also stand in opposition to justice and human fairness.
These actions violate fundamental principles of international law, including the prohibition of the use of force, respect for state sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, and adherence to international obligations, thereby placing the global legal order in serious crisis. From the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence, such actions fall under categories such as oppression, rebellion, aggression, and political corruption on earth, and are decisively rejected as illegitimate under established jurisprudential principles such as “no harm,” the prohibition of oppression, and the principle of justice.
3. The Responsibility of Academic and Scientific Elites
As academic elites and scholars of Afghanistan, we believe that silence in the face of injustice and the unlawful conduct of hegemonic powers is never compatible with the scientific, ethical, and humanitarian mission of universities. We call upon the academic and scholarly communities of the Islamic world and all freedom-seeking societies to raise their voices clearly in defense of human principles, justice-centered governance, and the rule of law. Defending independent religious authority and political leadership is a defense of human dignity and the right of nations to self-determination among our foremost responsibilities before history.
