Israel delays flights after missile attack from Yemen

Yemen’s Armed Forces launched a ballistic missile and three drones towards Israel, leading to flight delays at Ben Gurion Airport. Israel’s military intercepted the missile, while Yemeni officials vowed continued retaliatory strikes unless Israel ends its war on Gaza.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Israel was compelled to delay multiple incoming flights at Ben Gurion Airport due to a ballistic missile attack launched from Yemen, as reported by local media.

The disruption occurred after air raid sirens sounded across several cities in the occupied territories, prompting authorities to halt scheduled landings for safety reasons.

Among the affected flights were El Al services arriving from Boston and London, according to reports from Yedioth Ahronoth.

Israel’s military confirmed that its air defense systems intercepted a missile fired by Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement.

"Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in several areas in Israel, a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted," the military stated.

Later, Yemen declared that its Armed Forces had launched a ballistic missile targeting Ben Gurion Airport.

Military spokesperson Yahya Saree announced that three drones were also deployed towards the occupied territories.

Sunday’s attack was part of an ongoing series of operations by Yemen’s Armed Forces against Israel.

On Thursday, the Yemeni military fired a hypersonic ballistic missile at Ben Gurion Airport, Saree had stated earlier. Another missile struck a vital location in eastern Jaffa, central Israel.

Houthi military officials warned that retaliatory operations would persist and intensify unless Israel ceases its war on Gaza.
