AhlulBayt News Agency: The Israeli military reported that a ballistic missile launched from Yemen triggered air raid sirens across multiple areas in the occupied territories. The attack comes as Yemeni Armed Forces continue their operations in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
According to the Israeli army, sirens were activated on Monday evening in central Israel, al-Quds, several illegal West Bank settlements, and parts of the southern occupied territories.
The military claimed that its air defense systems intercepted the missile before it could cause damage.
Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency response service stated that no direct injuries or significant impacts from debris were reported.
Three minutes before the sirens sounded, settlers reportedly received an early warning via push notifications on their phones, alerting them to the incoming missile.
The latest missile launch follows a Yemeni Armed Forces operation targeting Israeli positions deep inside the occupied Palestinian territories. The attack was carried out in response to Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza.
The Yemeni military announced that its missile units had conducted a strategic operation against Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv.
The operation reportedly forced millions of settlers to seek refuge in bomb shelters.
As the war in Gaza escalates, Yemen has enforced a strategic blockade on key maritime routes to disrupt military supplies to Israel and pressure the international community to act.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared that their operations will continue unless Israel halts its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
