AhlulBayt News Agency: Yemen’s armed forces have confirmed a drone strike targeting Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, describing the operation as a response to crimes committed against Palestinians in Gaza.
In an official statement, Yemen’s drone unit declared that two “Yafa” drones were used in the attack on Lod Airport (Ben Gurion), located in the occupied city of Jaffa, and that the designated targets were successfully hit.
According to Mehr, the Yemeni military asserted that the strike was carried out in retaliation for the continued oppression of Palestinians and the military actions against resistance fighters. The statement condemned Israeli policies, referring to them as genocidal crimes in Gaza.
“Our operations against the criminal Zionist regime will persist until the aggression against Gaza ceases and the siege is fully lifted,” the statement emphasized.
Yemeni officials have repeatedly voiced strong support for the Palestinian resistance since Israel launched its war on Gaza on October 7, following the surprise operation "Al-Aqsa Storm" by Palestinian resistance groups.
The drone strike marks another escalation in the broader regional tensions surrounding the ongoing conflict, with Yemen reaffirming its commitment to opposing Israel’s military actions against Palestinians.
