Hezbollah’s Naim Qassem calls for Syrian unity, condemns Israeli aggression

Sheikh Naim Qassem reaffirmed Hezbollah’s commitment to Syrian unity and condemned Israeli aggression. He praised Gaza’s resistance and warned Israel against further attacks on Lebanon. He also expressed optimism about Lebanon’s future under President General Joseph Aoun.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem delivered a televised speech on Monday, emphasizing Hezbollah’s commitment to a united Syria and condemning ongoing Israeli aggression. His remarks were made during the ninth martyrdom anniversary of senior Jihadi commander Mustafa Badreddine.

At the beginning of his speech, Sheikh Qassem honored the martyred commander’s family and paid tribute to the martyrs of Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and Iran. He highlighted Badreddine’s pivotal role in Syria, stating that his involvement was solely in support of the resistance, not any internal conflict.

Sheikh Qassem reiterated Hezbollah’s stance on Syria, calling for unity and denouncing attacks on minorities by certain factions. He strongly condemned Israeli aggression, describing it as part of a long-standing colonial project backed by the US and Western powers since 1948.

He praised Gaza’s resilience, stating that the Al-Aqsa Flood movement has exposed the brutality of the occupying entity. He asserted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cannot seize Palestinian land and rights, despite international support.

Sheikh Qassem also emphasized that the martyrdom of Sayyed Nasrallah ensures the resistance remains strong and honorable, achieving victory through sacrifice. He highlighted Hezbollah’s steadfastness in the Mighty Warriors Battle, which prevented Israeli forces from advancing.

Regarding recent Israeli attacks on Nabatieh and Iqlim Al-Tuffah, Sheikh Qassem warned that such aggression is dangerous and will not allow Israel to achieve its objectives. He expressed optimism about Lebanon’s future under President General Joseph Aoun, stating that Hezbollah is a partner in this new era.

He concluded by calling for Arab countries to return to Lebanon and emphasized the importance of global cooperation with Lebanon.
