AhlulBayt News Agency: Sheikh Naim Qassem, in a video message to the conference "Qom Seminary, Islamic Revolution, and Resistance," held at the Dar al-Shifa School in Qom on Thursday, emphasized the historical and civilization-building role of seminaries, especially those in Qom and Najaf. He stated: "The resistance movement in the region is rooted in knowledge, faith, and the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), and this discourse was brought to action by Islamic scholars and leaders such as Imam Khomeini."
Naim Qassem continued: "The Qom Seminary is not only a center of jurisprudence and religious knowledge but has also become a bastion in the struggle against oppression and tyranny, and the Islamic Revolution of Iran, as the fruit of this seminary, has inspired liberation movements throughout the region."
Referring to the occupation of parts of Lebanon by the Zionist regime in past decades, he stated: "After our land was invaded, the Islamic Revolution and the thoughts of Imam Khomeini became our guiding light in the path of struggle, and the people of Lebanon, especially the fighters of Hezbollah, began the path of resistance with strength, inspired by the way of the Imam."
Sheikh Naim Qassem recalled the martyrs Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyid Hashem Safi al-Din, two former Secretaries-General of Hezbollah Lebanon, saying: "The path of these martyrs is the path of loyalty to the guardianship and steadfastness on the ideals of Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader. We have been and will remain steadfast on the path of the guardianship of the jurist and the authentic line of the revolution."
He pointed to the recent heavy attack by the Zionist regime, which he said involved 75,000 military forces, adding: "The people of Lebanon, through their spirit of faith, historical authenticity, and national pride, stood firm against this onslaught, and experience has shown that resistance is the only path to dignity, honor, and freedom."
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah continued: "Today, the Islamic Resistance of Lebanon is not merely a military group; it is a thought that has been accepted throughout the region and beyond as a rational, divine, and popular strategy against colonialism and arrogance."
