The Holy Quran always speaks anew and carries a fresh message for every era, senior cleric Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli said.
He made the remark while addressing a conference in Qom on Wednesday, held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Seminary of Qom and its founder Grand Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Abdulkarim Haeri Yazdi (RA).
He quoted Imam Ali (AS) as saying in Nahj al-Balagha that the book that has no equal is the Quran.
Ayatollah Javadi Amoli added that the true experts of the Quran and its interpreters are Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
He said the Holy Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) have established a foundation so that people do not go astray.
“Therefore, we must strive to benefit from the Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) in order to achieve righteousness and salvation.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli lauded the great achievement of late Ayatollah Haeri Yazdi, namely the establishment of the Islamic Seminary of Qom.
He said the hallmark and great characteristic of Ayatollah Haeri Yazdi, who was able to revive the Quran, rational sciences, jurisprudence, and principles even more than before, must be sought.
The conference on the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Seminary of Qom was attended by a large number of seminary scholars and figures.
Messages from Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and a number of grand sources of emulation like Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi and Ayatollah Hossein Ali Nouri Hamedani were read out at the conference.
