AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Grand Ayatollah Modarresi, one of the sources of emulation in the Shia world, emphasized in his remarks that Islamic nations, particularly the people of Iran, have made Imam Hussain (a.s.) their model of morality and stance by recalling his sacrifices. For this reason, they have risen in the path of God, made sacrifices, stood firm and resisted, and achieved victory, whereas previously their country was considered among the third-world nations.
In his weekly lesson for seminary students in Karbala, he stated that the slogan the Iranian nation has raised in this war reflects their conscience, transformation, and sincerity, a slogan with the meaning, “Hussain, Hussain is our slogan; martyrdom is our honor.”
The prominent professor of advanced seminary courses added, “History will record the story of our nations’ resistance against global arrogance, while many nations have been incapable of such resistance.”
Grand Ayatollah Modarresi attributed the victory of the Muslim nation against the greatest powers of tyranny to the awakening of the spirit, a spirit that unlocks potential, defines priorities, and sets aside secondary matters that weaken resolve.
He said, “In the Islamic nations, the spirit of faith has been awakened, and this spirit is the essence of everything.”
