In Memory of Martyr Students of “Shajareh Tayebeh” in Minab, a School in Kufa to Be Established Under the Same Name

The Director of Education in Kufa stated that in memory of the student martyrs of Minab, a school will soon be inaugurated in Kufa, and to keep the memory of these martyrs alive, they will name it “Shajareh Tayebeh.”

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Sayed Saeed Seyyedin, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Najaf, hosted Jasim al-Amiri, the Director of Education in Kufa, along with a group of educational staff from Najaf.

During this meeting, held to honor the memory of the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei and the student martyrs of Minab, Seyyedin expressed gratitude for the solidarity of the Iraqi people with Iran and the aid sent to the country. He explained that during the Ramadan War up to the 30th day, 252 students and teachers had been martyred, and over 180 had been wounded.

Al-Amiri, the Director of Education in Kufa, also expressed deep regret over the attack on the Minab school, emphasizing, “In memory of the student martyrs of that city, a school will soon be inaugurated in Kufa. To keep the memory of these martyrs alive, we will name it ‘Shajareh Tayebeh’ and will display the names and pictures of the students from that school.”

The Zionist regime launched a brutal attack on the Shajareh Tayebeh Elementary School in Minab at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026. The incident resulted in the martyrdom of 168 students and teachers and left 110 wounded.
