AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): In a statement reacting to the airstrike on the al-Habbaniyah base, Sayed Ammar al-Hakim said, “Another group of Iraq’s heroes and patriotic sons have been martyred, and several others injured, as a result of the attack on military units stationed at the al-Habbaniyah base while they were serving their country.”
He added, “Any attack that violates the dignity and honor of Iraqis, undermines the country’s independence and sovereignty, threatens the lives of Iraqi citizens, or targets military and security institutions, regardless of pretext or justification, is unacceptable and indefensible.”
This is not the first time al-Hakim has condemned such actions; in a previous statement, he had strongly denounced a prior strike on the command headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Al-Anbar Province, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of several commanders and members of the organization.
