AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Following the joint U.S.-Israeli attack on Iranian territory, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer emphasized that Americans are being compelled to reduce food spending as a result of inflation driven by conflict with Iran.
In a social media post, Schumer wrote, “Americans are now canceling food promises due to Trump’s reckless Iran policies, another stark example of how the daily struggle to afford basic sustenance is worsening.”
Schumer’s remarks came in response to media reports revealing that U.S. households are cutting back on food expenses to afford rising gasoline prices, which have surged sharply since the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
