AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): At the First International Conference on New Sciences in Engineering (Artificial Intelligence Futures Studies), Hojat al-Islam Saeed Jazari, President of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University stated that artificial intelligence is not merely a new research tool but reflects the scientific system’s transition toward a new model of knowledge production and scientific decision-making.
He noted that first- to fourth-generation universities have evolved from education-centered institutions into entrepreneurial and innovation-driven centers and then into problem-oriented and socially engaged institutions. He added that the current generation of universities must address complex societal challenges, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary issues, engagement with government, society, and industry, as well as ethical considerations and justice implementation.
The President of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University stated that fourth-generation universities are based on an AI-driven scientific system, moving from theoretical knowledge toward practical problem-solving, while presenting interdisciplinary subjects in a genuine and applicable manner.
He emphasized that hosting the First International Conference on New Sciences in Engineering at AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University marks a turning point in fulfilling the university’s scientific and global mission. The acceptance of 210 scientific papers from leading professors and dozens of domestic and international researchers demonstrates the scientific standing of the event.
The Vice President for Research and Technology at AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University stated that the university, through launching and expanding the “Yas” Innovation Center, has created a sustainable and goal-oriented platform for identifying, nurturing, and supporting creative and innovative ideas. The center helps researchers transform ideas into practical projects, engineering solutions, and implementable plans at regional and international levels.
He added that sustainable scientific development depends on scientific synergy, research networking, and targeted cross-border cooperation, stressing that the university is seriously pursuing this path by leveraging its international capacity.
The Vice President for Education and Graduate Studies at AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University and Secretary of the conference added that given the massive growth in scientific data production and technological achievements, artificial intelligence futures studies will become a strategic necessity for universities and research centers.
