AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The first International Conference on Modern Sciences in Engineering, with a specialized focus on artificial intelligence foresight, will be held virtually on January 29 and 30, 2026, by the Faculty of Engineering at AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University.
According to the conference secretariat, the main objective of the event is to create an interdisciplinary platform to examine emerging engineering trends, analyze the transformative role of artificial intelligence in the future of technology, and expand global academic–industrial cooperation.
Dr. Mahdi Shalchi Toosi, the conference secretary, emphasized the need to align engineering research with smart technologies, stating that the conference will serve as a knowledge-exchange platform, enabling the presentation of the latest research achievements, identification of key challenges, and mapping of new horizons across engineering disciplines.
He added that the conference’s main thematic areas include AI foresight, metaheuristic algorithms and optimization methods, Internet of Things (IoT), advanced engineering, emerging engineering technologies, artificial intelligence, smartization, value engineering, marine engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, cybersecurity, and engineering law.
The event will bring together leading domestic and international professors, researchers, students, and experts.
