AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): An ethics class was held with the presence and speech of Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, a senior professor at the Qom Seminary and Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, at the Imam Reza (a.s.) Quranic School in Qom.
Ayatollah Ramazani, speaking about the status of religious scholars, stated, “We have no greater trust than knowledge, and we must look at it with the trustworthiness of a trustee. Guiding creation and legislation are specific to God, and God has entrusted legislative guidance to the prophets.”
Addressing the clergy, the professor of advanced seminary studies said, “If an individual feels, after an hour of discussion, that a sense of self-sufficiency has arisen within him, this false feeling of knowledge is a manifestation of Pharaoh and must be restrained. Because we all have a Pharaoh within us. Pharaohs have surrounded our souls and existence, and must be restrained. One should not seek knowledge for the sake of knowledge itself. Avicenna says in an expression: 'He who studies mysticism for mysticism itself is a polytheist; we study to reach the truth’.”
He emphasized, “Seminarians must study literature, principles, logic, and theology well. Also, they must study well the knowledge that satisfies the intellect and disciplines the body and soul. On the other hand, it is necessary to pay attention to religious rulings.”
The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, speaking about global conditions, stated, “Today, 90 percent of the world's wealth is in the hands of 10 percent of the world's population, and ten percent of the world's wealth is in the hands of 90 percent of the world. This is injustice.”
