AhlulBayt News Agency: In the historic city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, a condolence gathering was organized in memory of the younger brother of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Sistani, the eminent Islamic scholar Ayatollah Sayyed Hadi Sistani.
The program was organized by the Office of the Representative of Ayatollah Sistani in Lucknow and was held at Hussainiya Qaima Khatoon in Sajjad Bagh. A large number of religious scholars, intellectuals, students, and faithful believers attended the gathering.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, after which respected scholars from the city and the country shed light on the scholarly, moral, and religious services of Ayatollah Hadi Sistani. Speakers highlighted his life of simplicity, knowledge, and dedication to guiding the Ummah.
Renowned Indian Islamic scholar and Secretary General of Majlis-e-Ulema-e-Hind, Maulana Kalbe Jawad Naqvi, delivered a keynote address at the program. In his speech, he stated that personalities like Ayatollah Hadi Sistani do not belong to a single family or nation, but are a valuable asset for the entire Muslim Ummah. He described the spiritual bond between the Marjaiyyat of Najaf and the Shia community of India as an integral part of Lucknow’s identity.
The representative of Ayatollah al-Uzma Sistani, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Maulana Sayyed Ashraf Ali al-Gharvi addressed the gathering.
The program was conducted by Maulana Sayyed Ali Hashim Abdi. A large number of faithful believers, including students from Jamia Imamia and Jamia-tur-Risalat-il-Ilahiya, Lucknow, were present at this condolence gathering and memorial majlis.
