Heads of Iran's International Institutions Condemn Attacks on Scientific Centers

Senior managers and officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran's international religious, scientific, and cultural institutions have issued a joint statement strongly condemning aggressive attacks on schools, universities, places of worship, infrastructure, and innocent people.

ABNA24 - Senior managers and officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran's international religious, scientific, and cultural institutions have issued a joint statement strongly condemning aggressive attacks on schools, universities, places of worship, infrastructure, and innocent people.

The statement, addressed to scholars, elites, and free people of the world, reads: "The continuation of brutal aggression by the arrogant American imperialism and the criminal Zionist regime against Iran's scientific, research, religious, and cultural centers — which began with the assassination of the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, and the martyrdom of military commanders and over 175 children and teachers at the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab — is a clear violation of human rights and international norms."

The signatories of the statement, referring to the enemy's defeat on the battlefields, emphasized: "After a month of failed attacks, the Zionist-American enemy has now cowardly targeted Iran's schools, universities, hospitals, and cultural heritage."

The text stresses the necessity for religious and scientific figures worldwide to take a decisive stance against these war crimes and to seek the prosecution of the leaders of these bloodthirsty governments in international courts.

The statement was signed by:

- Alireza Arafi, Director of the Seminaries
- Ahmad Vaezi, Head of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Qom Seminary
- Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour, Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO)
- Reza Ramezani, Secretary-General of the Ahlulbayt World Assembly
- Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, Head of the Supreme Council of the Ahlulbayt World Assembly
- Ali Abbasi, President of Al-Mustafa International University
- Seyyed Abdolfattah Nawab, Representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs
- Hamid Shahriari, Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought

It is worth noting that the Zionist regime and the United States began extensive attacks on areas in central Tehran on Saturday, February 28, 2026 (Esfand 9, 1404), at around 9:40 AM, while the fourth round of Iran-US talks after the 12-day war was being held in Geneva under the auspices of the Sultanate of Oman. These cowardly aggressions, which violate all international rules and principles, continue to this day. However, the resilience of the nation and the state, and the bravery of the country's military forces, have thwarted and disabled the weak enemy in achieving its nefarious goals, forcing it out of desperation to resort to indiscriminate attacks on civilian and cultural centers.
