AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Sheikh Mohsen Faqihi, in a message addressed to the great and honorable nation of Iraq, commended and appreciated their material and spiritual support, particularly that of the grand religious authority of Shia Islam, during the recent imposed war, describing the nations of Iran and Iraq as two brotherly nations with deep historical roots.
A portion of this message addressed to the Iraqi people reads, “Our shared history bears witness that we have always been, we are, and by God's permission, we will remain two brotherly nations; nations whose goals are aligned and whose hearts are in harmony. I beseech the Exalted and Almighty God to raise high the honorable flag of Iraq and dear Iran, to secure victory and success for them, and to perpetually maintain the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of these two lands.”
