AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Hebrew newspaper Maariv revealed that Israel is exerting pressure on U.S. President Donald Trump to conduct a short and decisive ground operation against Iran before entering into any potential negotiations with the country.
According to this report, Tel Aviv is concerned that Washington may move toward negotiations before the complete destruction of Iran's military capabilities; a concern that has led Israel to propose the option of military escalation through a limited ground intervention with intelligence and logistical support.
Estimates suggest that potential American attacks may last anywhere from a few days to a week, particularly in light of the deadline set by Trump until April 6 for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, failing which he has threatened to carry out widespread attacks.
According to Israeli sources, Benjamin Netanyahu and his advisors prefer the first option and believe that any agreement under the current circumstances would be a clear victory for Iran.
An Israeli security source also emphasized that the country will not send ground forces to Iran, but if the United States decides to do so, Israel will provide the highest level of intelligence and logistical support.
