AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The closing ceremony of the third AhlulBayt (a.s.) Cultural and Artistic Festival, titled “Imam Husayn (a.s.), the Continuation of the Prophet of Justice and Mercy (p.b.u.h),” was held in Iraq on the occasion of the 1500th anniversary of the birth of the Noble Prophet (p.b.u.h).
This international scientific and cultural event was organized by the International Ashura Foundation, with the participation of religious and sectarian elites from eighteen countries and with the support and hosting of the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office. The two-day event was held in Baghdad.
Among those present at the ceremony were Ayatollah Mohammad-Hassan Akhtari, President of the International Ashura Foundation; Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani; and former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who also serves as head of the State of Law Coalition.
