Indian Cleric: Immediate and Decisive Measures Needed to Protect the Shia Community in Pakistan

Syed Hasan Al-Musavi Al-Safavi made a firm demand from the Government of Pakistan that it should not limit itself to mere formal statements or notices regarding such tragic events.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimin Syed Hasan Al-Musavi Al-Safavi, President of the Shia Religious Association of Jammu & Kashmir, has strongly condemned the tragic suicide blast at Imam Bargah Qasr Khadijah al-Kubra in the Tarlai Kalan area of Islamabad, Pakistan, calling it a brutal and open attack on humanity, religious tolerance, Islamic values, and social peace.

Hujjatul Islam Al-Safavi expressed profound grief over the martyrdom of dozens of innocent worshippers in this cowardly and ruthless terrorist act and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. He also prayed to Almighty Allah for the speedy and complete recovery of the hundreds injured in the incident.

He stated that targeting places of worship is clear evidence that terrorist elements are not only enemies of a particular sect but of the peace, unity, and stability of the entire society. Shedding the blood of innocent worshippers in mosques and Imam Bargahs is an unforgivable crime, raising serious questions about state authority, security mechanisms, and governmental responsibility.

Syed Hasan Al-Musavi Al-Safavi made a firm demand from the Government of Pakistan that it should not limit itself to mere formal statements or notices regarding such tragic events. Instead, he urged the authorities to take immediate, effective, and concrete measures to ensure the protection of religious and sectarian minorities, particularly the Shia community, including their lives and property.

He emphasized that the planners, facilitators, and perpetrators of this terrorist attack must be immediately exposed, brought to justice, and given exemplary punishment, so that no enemy of peace dares to commit such atrocities in the future.

Expressing deep concern, he warned that religious minorities in Pakistan continue to live under constant fear and insecurity, and unless this serious issue is addressed with sincerity, diligence, and state determination, such tragic incidents may continue to recur.

Hujjatul Islam Al-Safavi underscored that it is the fundamental duty of any civilized, responsible, and Islamic state to provide complete protection to all its citizens without distinction of religion or sect and to ensure the sanctity of places of worship under all circumstances.
