AhlulBayt News Agency: Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan, Shiite cleric and Lebanese Grand Jafaru Mufti, issued a statement saying,” As we offer our condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran for the explosion at Shahid Rajaee Port, we emphasize our absolute solidarity with Tehran, which has been a strong supporter of Lebanon in all of Lebanon's historical tragedies, including supporting the resistance that reclaimed this country and its institutions from Israeli occupation.”
He noted,” In this context, we emphasize that the common enemy of this region is The U.S. and Israel, history depends on the people, and it is a matter of time, and the solution in resistance is to concentrate power and diversify it.”
Sheikh Qabalan further noted,” With the Israeli regime's aggression on the southern suburbs, the government and its institutions are displaying weakness and are ineffective. Condemnations are useless, and international forums are for the defeated.”
The Grand Mufti of Lebanon stated,” National logic dictates that a government which relies on Washington to protect itself is unfortunate, and Lebanon has no guarantor of sovereignty other than the army and the resistance. Any mistake in this equation means the destruction of Lebanon.”
He concluded by saying,” Lebanon is a trust of historical sacrifices, and we will defend its power and sovereignty with all our might, and history belongs to those who protect Lebanon.”
