AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The head of the Yemeni National Committee for Prisoners Affairs Abdul Qader al-Murtada said that the Army and the Popular Committees have hundreds Saudi and Emirati prisoners.
Al-Murtada said in a statement to Al-Thawra "Revolution" newspaper published on Saturday, that the only guarantee for the release of abductees and prisoners from the prisons of the Saudi aggression is the presence of Saudi and Emirati prisoners to us, stressing that the number of them is hundreds.
He warned that the intransigence of the other party will make any final solutions in the file of prisoners impossible.
While the coalition of Saudi aggression refuses to reveal three hundred and forty prisoners, out of the total of three thousand prisoners, in the prisons of the UAE and Saudi regimes. He confirms that he has full information and evidence and the place of their presence.
"As for the other side's denial of the presence of prisoners in Saudi and Emirati prisons after we gave their names, we complained to the United Nations and told them that this is a mockery of the agreement. We know where they are detained and imprisoned by the parties to the aggression coalition.
"We told them that we have a lot of evidence of the presence of these prisoners in Saudi and UAE prisons, some of them we were able to communicate with, others were not able to reach even by international organizations, including the Red Cross, but we will formulate observations about their testimonies and deliver it to UN in two days".
Al-Murtada explained that a prisoner Musa Shu'i Ali Awaji suffered hepatitis and that the doctors were unable to treat his condition due to the lack of possibilities with imposed siege.
He added that the Saudi aggression refused to agree to an urgent exchange deal to release the patient, in exchange for the release of a number of wounded prisoners from the Army and Popular Committees in Saudi prisons.
The Saudi aggression held full responsible, Murtada added, saying: "We affirm that we have no responsibility to this issue and bear no consequences."
On the meetings held in the Jordanian capital Amman over two days, the head of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs said that these meetings concluded on Friday without making any progress in the file of prisoners and detainees.
He pointed out that the delegation of the other party did not provide any development to Amman, and that the delegation of Sanaa made several proposals that were rejected, pointing out that a number of obstacles still stand in the way of implementation of the agreement.
He pointed out that it was agreed to set January 30th to hold another meeting to provide responses and assessment of statements and whether to include the disclosure of prisoners in Saudi and UAE prisons.
Al-Murtada said that the other party rejected the suggestion presented by the release of four hundred prisoners from both parties despite the consensus and recognition of their names. Noting that the United Nations proposal to continue the Committee in its work in the capital Amman was rejected by the other party on the pretext of not having the permission to continue the discussion and negotiation.
