Prayer for return of Imam Musa Sadr at canonization ceremony of Mother Teresa

The Assyrian Church of Eastern Beirut, corresponding with the Vatican, held the canonization ceremony for Mother Teresa.; Malihah Sadr, the daughter of Imam Musa Sadr was also present at the ceremony.

BEIRUT, Lebanon (AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Assyrian Church of Eastern Beirut, corresponding with the Vatican, held the canonization ceremony for Mother Teresa.; Malihah Sadr, the daughter of Imam Musa Sadr was also present at the ceremony.

Malihah Sadr, in an interview with the Imam Musa Sadr Cultural Organization, talked about her presence at the ceremony which was aired live on LBC Lebanon and said, ‘ The ceremony had a good spiritual atmosphere. Supplications and prayers were also held.

I, being the daughter of Imam Musa Sadr, was also invited to attend the ceremony and was seated next to the sisters of Mother Teresa, towards the front. When the priest began his speech, after welcoming the sisters from Calcutta, he then also welcomed me and when he mentioned the name of Imam Musa Sadr, the entire audience present in the church began to applaud. Again, when he compared Imam Sadr with Mother Teresa and spoke on them, the audience applauded for a good few minutes.’         

The daughter of Imam Musa Sadr added,’ When the speech was finished and the people began to go towards the altar to receive the sacred food and drink, they also showed great affection towards me. They all raised their hands towards the sky and with eyes filled with tears prayed that, God-Willing, Imam Musa Sadr will be returned as soon as possible.’
