UNITED States Ambassador to Trinidad Beatrice Wilkinson Welters paid a courtesy visit to the Islamic Home for Children in Gasparillo, last Wednesday, where she spoke with the children and discussed the future plans of the home.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - UNITED States Ambassador to Trinidad Beatrice Wilkinson Welters paid a courtesy visit to the Islamic Home for Children in Gasparillo, last Wednesday, where she spoke with the children and discussed the future plans of the home.

“Education is freedom,” she told the home’s 18 children.

Welters was officially welcomed to the home by its president Imran Khan and vice president Dr Saleem Aadam Varachhia.

Welters heard a brief discourse on the future plans for expansion of the home, which would include library facilities, information technology rooms and better living conditions for the children. The 18 children live at the home and attend primary and secondary schools. Welters was then taken on a tour of the home.
