AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The tribute ceremony for Ayatollah Hajj Sheikh Hussein Abdullah Al-Ma'touq, in recognition of years of struggle and steadfastness in the field of knowledge and action and the dissemination of the teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.), was held on Monday, November 2, in the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Organization of Qom, with the presence of Ayatollah Hajj Sheikh Mohsen Araki.
Ayatollah Al-Ma'touq said at this ceremony, "What we see today of conspiracies in the region is the result of the successive victories of the resistance front. Today the resistance front is in an advanced position, and the role of nations has completely changed compared to the past."
Recalling the words of the martyred Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, he added, "In the era of the Sykes-Picot Agreement, the Shiites of Lebanon had no status or trace, but today the Shiites of Lebanon are a source of honor, dignity, and pride in confronting the enemies of the Ummah, and these achievements have been obtained in Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, and Yemen, and the most important of them are the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran under the leadership of Ayatollah Sayed Mojtaba Khamenei."
He stated, "The more our progress and victories increase, the more the enemies expand their plans. Today they have gathered with all their power to destroy us because they are exasperated by our victories and have suffered defeat; but they have not been able to stop the will and awareness of nations."
Ayatollah Al-Ma'touq, referring to the situation in Yemen, said, "If someone had spoken a few years ago about the realization of such a situation in Yemen, no one would have believed it, but today the Yemeni nation lives in honor, dignity, and power, and all nations are experiencing this honor and power, and these victories require sacrifice and selflessness."
The martyrdom of Imam Khamenei; the extension of the path of the Master of Martyrs (a.s.)
Emphasizing that the sacrifice and martyrdom of Imam Khamenei was the same selflessness that the Master of Martyrs (a.s.) had offered before, he noted, "Imam Khamenei was the natural extension of his grandfather, the Master of Martyrs (a.s.). One who does not know the personality of Imam Hussein (a.s.) and the Imams (a.s.) and the Commander of the Faithful (a.s.) will not understand the blessed personality of Imam Khamenei either. In his existence, the life and courage of Ali (a.s.) and the selflessness and defense of Hussein (a.s.) were manifested."
This struggling scholar added, "Imam Khamenei trained the Ummah and made it stronger than before. He trained students like Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, and after his martyrdom, Sheikh Naeem Qassem continues the path and way of Sayed Hassan Nasrallah with the same method and character. This path is a continuous path."
Ayatollah Al-Ma'touq, referring to the widespread oppression of the region's nations, said, "Unfortunately, today we are witnessing the spread of oppression against nations. In Kuwait, nearly 300,000 Kuwaitis have been deprived of their citizenship. What interest lies in this suppression and punishment of Kuwaiti citizens, both Sunni and Shia?"
Criticizing the state of the judiciary in some countries of the region, he added, "In our countries, a single power rules; there is neither a real legislature nor an independent judiciary. The judge is the same as the executioner, and to issue a ruling, he must only obey the power."
Hope for final victory and the decline of Israel
Ayatollah Al-Ma'touq, in conclusion, while expressing hope for the future, stated, "We are at a sensitive and great stage, and we will witness victories and progress. Imam Khomeini (r.a.) opened broad horizons for us and awakened the Ummah from the ignorance of submission to the tyrants and the justification of oppression. Imam Khamenei also taught us honor and dignity. Our nations will never be humiliated and will move forward until the day we witness the decline of Israel from the stage of time."
In conclusion, while thanking the organizers of this ceremony, he said, "I thank the brothers and sisters. I do not deserve this tribute, but I responded to your request."
