ElBaradei urges Trump’s allies to prevent another foolish attack on Iran

Former Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei described US President Donald Trump as a “fool” and urged those with influence over him to prevent him from launching another war in the region.

ABNA24 - Former Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei described US President Donald Trump as a “fool” and urged those with influence over him to prevent him from launching another war in the region.

ElBaradei wrote on the social media platform X that any further US attack on Iran would be an act of sheer madness, adding that it would only lead to more violence and destruction, with the region in particular paying a heavy price.

He added: “I appeal to everyone who has influence over this foolish man to do everything in their power to dissuade him from taking such action.”

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told an IRNA reporter that, given the active role of Doha and Islamabad as mediators in the process, as well as dozens of phone calls and intensive exchanges of delegations, the Islamic Republic of Iran had formulated a clear plan, set out its fair conditions and proposed diplomatic solutions to end the crisis.

He stressed that everything now depended on the US side’s political judgment and its choice between the prudent path of negotiations and repeating the mistake of military aggression.

Referring to ongoing consultations and exchanges of messages within the framework of mediation efforts to end the war, Araghchi stressed that Iran believed in reason, dialogue and constructive engagement but would not bow to bullying.

He warned that any renewed military adventure or deception by the enemy would be met with a response far harsher and more regret-inducing than before.
