AhlulBayt (AS) International News Agency – ABNA: Sources in Kabul told the International Ahl al-Bayt News Agency (ABNA) thatpersonnel from the Taliban’s Ministry of Justice visited the clinic on Sunday and halted its operations, subsequently closing the facility.
The Fatima al-Zahra Clinic is a medical facility associated with Afghanistan’s Shia community. According to information cited by local sources, the clinic was built with support from Iran and provided medical services to residents of Kabul.
The reported closure comes after the Taliban’s Ministry of Justice has taken action against several Shia-affiliated religious, educational and cultural institutions in Kabul in recent months.
Among the facilities previously reported to have been closed are the Khatam al-Nabieen Islamic Seminary and the Khatam al-Anbia Scientific and Cultural Complex, both associated with Afghanistan’s Shia community.
There have also been reports of the detention of some officials and activists linked to these institutions. In previous cases, Taliban authorities have cited disputes over land ownership and allegations of activities deemed “against the Islamic Emirate” as grounds for their actions.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Justice had not issued an official statement on the reported closure of the Fatima al-Zahra Clinic at the time of publication.
The reported measures have raised concerns among members of Afghanistan’s Shia and Hazara communities, although details surrounding the latest closure, including the specific legal grounds cited by authorities, remain unclear.
