Israeli journalist: Iran emerged stronger than before war

An Israeli journalist has stated that Tehran today is in a stronger position than before the war and has appeared at the negotiating table with greater power and confidence.

AhlulBayt News Agency: An Israeli journalist has stated that Tehran today is in a stronger position than before the war and has appeared at the negotiating table with greater power and confidence.

Iran’s strategic situation today is better than in the pre-war era, Barak Seri told Israeli media “Maariv” analyzing the recent negotiations between Iran and the US in Islamabad.

Iran’s demands in the negotiations, along with the Iranian officials’ confidence, indicate that Tehran is in a position of strength, and its internal conditions contrary to claims are not chaotic and are even better than before the war, he added.

Referring to Iran’s economic situation, he said that the country’s economy has been damaged in this war, but they have the ability to rebuild and return to pre-war conditions.

Seri strongly criticized the warmongering of Israeli prime minister, and said the attack not only brought no achievement for Tel Aviv but also strengthened Iran’s position.

The Israeli journalist’s remarks come as, according to official statistics from the Israeli regime, during the 40-day war against Iran, 42 Israelis were killed, 7,456 were wounded, and 6,300 were displaced.

According to a new Maariv poll, 63% of Israelis have declared themselves dissatisfied with the outcome of the war, while only 32% expressed satisfaction. Among Netanyahu’s opponents, the dissatisfaction rate stands at 81%.

Another round of negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, mediated by Pakistan, concluded on Sunday morning.

Washington and Tehran were engaged in talks aimed at finding a peaceful resolution to Iran’s nuclear issue when the war began by airstrikes on Tehran and several more cities. The strikes in Tehran led to the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and a number of senior military commanders. Back in June 2025, Tehran and Washington were also in the middle of diplomatic engagement when Israel launched its 12-day war on Iran.
