AhlulBayt News Agency: Masoud Pezeshkian has contributed 50 billion rials to support the release of financially distressed inmates.
According to IRNA, the donation was made as part of an annual charitable fundraising campaign held during the holy month of Ramadan in Tehran and other cities, with the participation of government officials, philanthropists, and members of the public.
According to reports, the funds will be used to free prisoners incarcerated for non-intentional offenses, particularly those unable to pay financial penalties or debts.
Ramadan is marked by fasting from dawn until sunset, as well as increased prayer, charitable giving, and communal gatherings, reflecting the spiritual and humanitarian values of the month.
