Muslim Council of Elders Congratulates on the Night of Mid-Sha‘ban, Emphasizes Tolerance and Peace

Marking the Night of Mid-Sha‘ban, the Muslim Council of Elders called for self-refinement, stronger tolerance, confronting extremism, and translating moral values into practical action for peace and social service.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Muslim Council of Elders, chaired by Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, extended its congratulations to Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion of the Night of Mid-Sha‘ban, praying to Almighty God for goodness, blessings, and prosperity in the year ahead.

In a statement, the Council said the Night of Mid-Sha‘ban represents a valuable opportunity for self-reflection, renewing the spirit of mercy and tolerance, and strengthening moral values, principles that reinforce human dignity and peaceful coexistence, particularly amid the world’s current challenges.

The Muslim Council of Elders also urged Muslims, inspired by the messages of this blessed night, to promote a culture of compassion, confront hatred and extremism, and advance the concept of human fraternity. It stressed that these values should be translated into concrete actions in the service of society and the pursuit of lasting peace.
