Georgian Shia Clerics Voice Support for Imam Khamenei, Condemn US Threats

A group of Shiite scholars and clerics in Georgia have issued a strongly worded statement expressing full support for Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and condemning the threatening and provocative remarks by the US president.

AhlulBayt News Agency: A group of Shiite scholars and clerics in Georgia have issued a strongly worded statement expressing full support for Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and condemning the threatening and provocative remarks by the US president.

In the statement, released by clerics affiliated with Georgia’s Shiite community, the signatories denounced any threats, incitement to violence, or talk of assassination against Ayatollah Khamenei, describing such rhetoric as criminal, dangerous, and morally bankrupt.

The clerics said the threats are not merely directed at an individual, but constitute a calculated assault on the dignity of the Muslim Ummah, the spirit of resistance, divine values, and the voice of oppressed nations around the world.

They described Ayatollah Khamenei as a symbol of justice, independence, and adherence to the Qur’an and the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), stressing that his principled and outspoken positions against hegemonic and aggressive powers—particularly the United States and the Israeli regime—have clearly exposed the line between truth and falsehood. The statement highlighted his unwavering support for the Palestinian people and the oppressed population of Gaza as a defining feature of this stance.

According to the clerics, the recent threats amount to an open admission of political and moral failure by oppressive powers, reflecting their inability to confront the growing front of resistance through legitimate means.

“History has shown that divine leaders cannot be intimidated through the language of threats, violence, or terror,” the statement read, citing a Qur’anic verse affirming that while oppressors plot, God is the best of planners.

The Georgian clerics called on Muslims, religious scholars, and all free people worldwide not to remain silent at what they described as a sensitive and decisive moment, urging unity, solidarity, and a firm collective stance in defense of the higher interests of the Islamic Ummah.

Concluding their statement, the clerics said standing alongside the Leader of the Islamic Revolution is not merely a political position, but a religious, ethical, and moral duty. They prayed for divine protection for Ayatollah Khamenei, greater unity and insight for the Muslim world, and ultimate victory for the front of truth over oppression.
